Schöner Platz um den See zu sehen. Wir haben da gecampt und hatten wie eine schön Aussehen. Was mir gestört hat ,wo wir geparkt hatten, war neben die Straße. Ich konnte nicht gut schlafen, weil Autos sind immer Nacht schnell gefahren.

We rented in May 2024, a kayak for two persons for half day. Everything went smoothly. The owner is very friendly and have us helpful suggestions. Since it was off-season, we had to call and book the kayak a day in advance.
Kayak was is very good condition.
Half day rental can be done for 9AM-1PM slot or 1-5PM slot.
4h is perfect to Kayak to Hallstatt and Schloss Grub and come back.
Definitely recommend this!!

Excellent experience renting a kayak from Gerhard for a half day on the beautiful Halstätter See.
As a Canadian with lots of kayaking experience, I can verify that the kayak, paddle and wet bag were all in top condition and Gerhard provided great service.
The 4 hours around the quiet lake with perfect weather was wonderful. I know the area well from cycling but seeing Halstatt and the area from the lake gave a great new perspective.
I also rented a Klettersteigset from Gerhard a few days later which was equally excellent.

Very nice rest area, big parking and the view is amazing and beautiful, a place were you can have picnic and enjoy the natural atmosphere, there is some public chairs and tables, and there is Public WC, and small cafe & restaurant.

My wife and I rented a pair of 4 meter Prion touring kayaks from this buisness. The boats were in good condition, performed well, and were easily able to make the 6 mile round trip to and from Hastatt. We also found the owner to be friendly and responsive to calls.

A very nice view. The water is drinkable from the lake, there is a shower and WC nearby. It's just by the road, so a bit noisy
